Was so upset I had to check if it was factory (it is) and then see how much it cost. Pulled into the GM HQ but I looked , it wasn’t a “M” plate.

Is there a $3k option to make it not ugly?

When I bought the S3, the guy taking delivery before me had an S4 that had these red line stickers all over it. It looked like it was out of TRON...Guy spent 4 grand! It was like this...

IMHO appearance mods are pretty much always tacky.

The 1LE track pack is $4500, so ... no.

Some people like to spend a lot of money on questionable things.

What I’d really like to know is who let the ‘19 Camaro off the drawing board. I love the ‘16-18 cars and thought they nailed a look that was sporty and aggressive without being overbearing, and captured the “Camaro” look without beeing overly nostalgic. The interior was so-so, and there were some visbility issues, though. So what did Chevy do for ‘ 19? Make the car uglier and not fix any of the issues.

Different strokes. I think it looks fine. Well, as fine as a new Camaro CAN look, at least.

I cant think of a worse refresh. The whole front end blackout thing is definitely something they tried and hopefully enough people yelled “no” so they dont do it again.

I don’t know if you saw, but the 2020 will get a revised front end. It’s so bad they had to re-refresh it after 1 model year. I’m actually mildly interested in the 2020 “LT1" package... if it weren’t for the fact that someone needs to be slapped for this dumb trim name since it’s also the ENGINE NAME, which GM has also used on 3 engines in 4 decades that are basically only related in that they are pushrod V8s with the same bore-center spacing .
And I believe the resemblance between the truck and Camaro was intentional, GM wanted to create a new “c orporate front end ” in the laziest way possible - slap an ugly black grill bar on everything. Nevermind that it looks like shit on the truck already, put it on everything!

The design looks like it was styled by describing it to someone and having them draw what you were describing, police composite sketch style.

My question about Camaros: how much does it cost to insure one for a single male younger than 25 and the car is financed?

Oh I saw the “refresh” aka painted bar across the front. Its a bandaid, but my eyes appreciate it. The LT1 trim does sound nice though, I was kind of surprised on the configurator yesterday when the V8 started at $38k. Also I like it’s base bumper more.

Agreed, I do like it, I just wish they’d picked a better name. But I get it, make a base, no frills V8 car. I think I’m still going to save my allowance and get a used 16-18 1LE car when I’m ready to replace the Cruze (or maybe keep the Cruze as a DD since I do like 36 mpg).
